Joseph M. Allison, age 77, of Sweetwater, passed away, on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Sweetwater Hospital. He was a member of Ooltewah Baptist Church. Retired from BASF Corp. in Chattanooga. A veteran of the U.S. Airforce. Preceded in death by his son: Joseph Scott Allison, parents: R.O. and Marie Wiggins Allison, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Hutsell and Willie Maude Denton, sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Joyce and Leon Denton brother and sister-in-law: David R. and Jane Allison, brother-in-law: Kenneth Denton. Survivors include his wife of 56 years: Ruth Denton Allison, daughter: Kendra Allison Christian, both of Sweetwater, grandchildren: Marie Conibear, of McDonald, Josh Christian, of Sweetwater, 2 great-grandchildren: Ashton and Waylon Conilbear, both of McDonald, brothers and sisters-in-law: James and Anna Allison, of Lenior City, Jerry and Jean Allison, Johnny and Diann Allison, all of Madisonville, Alan and Linda Allison and Josephine Denton, all of Sweetwater, nieces: Angela Cathcart, Misty Allison, Kim Slifka, Kristy Vance, Lindsey Allison, Deborah Denton, Donna Curry, Denise Hearn, nephews: Terry Denton, Tim, Keith, Nicky, Clint, and Zane Allison, several great-nieces and nephews.
