Portsmouth - Milton Leon Banks, Jr. "Dickie Boy", passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 in Andover, New Jersey. He was born in Portsmouth, Va. on Friday, November 8, 1946. Milton was preceded in death by his father Milton L. Banks, and his precious mother Flossie Lewis Banks. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Anita Peele, his nephew Tavaris Peele (Tonya), his loving and devoted niece Jeneane Peele, great niece & nephew Terra and Jeremiah, great great niece and nephew Malachi & MyKira, and a father figure Joseph Wiggins. He will also be remembered by his attentive cousin Ann Bragg and her children Mark, Lisa, Crystal, Jay and Tristian; a dear cousin Beatrice Turner, aunts Laura Freeman and Ida Jordan; several other brothers and sisters Harold, Clifton, Dwight, Reginald, Ruth, Brenda, Cynthia & Gwendelyn, and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 13 at Graves Funeral Home 1631 Church St. Norfolk. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 14 in the Chapel of Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Chesapeake with the Reverend Yvonne Cotton officiating. Interment will be at the Mausoleum. The Family will assemble at 2701 High St. Portsmouth for procession to the funeral.
