Ada Carolyn, known by her friends as ‘Connie' was the youngest child of Mahlon and Ada Butcher Nutt. Her paternal grandparents Philip and Almira Stockbridge Nutt moved to Vineland in 1865 developing property along Landis Ave., East Ave. and Myrtle Street. Her Uncle Philip Stockbridge Nutt, was a distinguished and well known dance instructor and artist in Cumberland County and was proprietor of the Studio on Columbia Ave. in Vineland.
Carolyn resided her entire life in the Nutt residence on North Myrtle St. in Vineland.
She was predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Joseph "Reds" Greico who died in 1991. Both she and Reds were employed at Colonial Applicator. Connie was a member of the Vineland High School class of 1949. Carolyn was beloved by her family and friends and was cherished by her three children. Her quick wit and humor was relished by all who knew her. Her culinary skills were unparalleled and her carrot cake was served to Princes and Princess' worldwide. Carolyn's unique and giving nature endeared her to all who knew her. She was an avid gardener and could often be seen admiring her labors from her rocking chair on her front porch.
Carolyn's love for family extended beyond her own children and she became the adopted grandmother to Darlene and David Owens' children, Nicole, Michelle, Danielle and David. Her generation of Nutt's included sisters Elva, Laura and Ruth and brothers, Howard, Philip, Iredell and Paul all predeceasing her.
The last of a generation, she was cared for by nieces, Ruth Baumbach Cook and Sandra Baumbach Scott.
She leaves behind her loving children by her first husband N. Robert Dragotta, daughter, Karen Dragotta, retired Air Traffic Controller residing in Ashville North Carolina her youngest son David Dragotta, co-owner of ABS Welding of Vineland and her son Robert Dragotta of New York and Bridgeton. ∼Ada Carolyn Nutt Greico was married for 15 years to Nazareno Robert Dragotta and she had three children with him. Robert Gene, Karen Lee and David Paul. She was predeceased by her siblings, Howard Nutt, Elva,Philip,Iredell,Laura,Ruth and Paul
