LOUP CITY — Phillip Ray Alexander, 71, of Loup City died Monday, May 30, 2016, at his home in Loup City.

Phillip requested that his body be donated to the Nebraska Anatomical Board.


Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City, with the Rev. Shawn Kitzing officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Loup City American Legion Post 48.


Phillip Ray Alexander was born Feb. 4, 1944, at McCook to Max and Elva (Curtis) Alexander. He entered the United State Army on Nov. 17, 1969 and served until Nov. 16, 1975. He married Terri O'Hanlon on June 27, 1999, at Loup City. He resided in Loup City since 1990 and was a retired contractor. He loved his two cats, Maxie and Blondie.


He is survived by his wife, Terri of Loup City; mother, Elva Alexander of Holdrege; niece, Vicki Bernstrauch of Holdrege; many other nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father, Max Alexander; son, Dale Alexander; two brothers, Richard and Calvin Alexander; and one sister, Connie Alexander.
