Major League Baseball Player. He spent eight years in the major leagues as an outfielder-first baseman for the Washington Senators and St. Louis Browns. He made his major league debut in 1924 at the age of 26. He was a member of the 1924 World Series champion Washington Senators and also appeared in the 1925 World Series, losing to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He appeared in 683 games during his big league career. He ended his playing career with four home runs, 614 hits, 213 runs batted in and a lifetime .272 batting average.
