Helen J. Durham Galloway, 97, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, in Covington, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Ferguson High School and Bryant Station Business College in Louisville. She was very active at the Ferguson School and Ferguson Baptist Church until moving to Cincinnati. She worked many years as a Centrix operator at Good Samaritan Hospital before retiring. She then resided in the Northern Kentucky area. Helen was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by parents, Norman and Neva McPheron Durham; husband, Neal Galloway; brothers, Truman, Linvard and Albert Durham; sisters, Mary Durham and Fay Durham Nix; daughter, Nealanna Noel Galloway; and great-granddaughter, Paschonce Price.
Helen is survived by her sister, Geneva Lucille “Celie” Durham; her children, Barbara Galloway Valentour, Norma Galloway Price, and Michael (and Wilma) Galloway; grandchildren, Paris (and Karen) Valentour, Kent (and Kathy) Valentour, Ivan (and Melissa) Valentour, and Neva (and Charlie) Trapp, Joel (and Kim) Price, Gary Wayne Price, Lisa (and Roger) Washnock, Roger (and Amanda) Price, Shawn Galloway and Ron (and Anita) Galloway; forty-two great-grandchildren; sixty-six great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with funeral services following at Southern Oaks Funeral Home, with Bro.
David Muse officiating. Burial will be in West Somerset Cemetery.
