Otto Donald Bennett, 92, of Witter, Arkansas died June 1, 2016 at the Willard Walker Hospice Home at Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born April 10, 1924 at Dripping Springs, Arkansas the son of Oscar Cardin and Maudie Elizabeth Evans Bennett. Otto was a family man, a hard-working man and a faithful man. He often said how thankful he was for his family. The fact that all four of his and June’s children made their homes nearby on “Bennett Ridge” made him very proud. Otto raised Beef cattle and poultry for much of his life. He was a carpenter and spent many hours helping to build houses, barns, and chicken houses for family and friends. Otto was known for having a big beautiful garden out by the county road. He enjoyed sharing it’s abundance with others. He loved cutting firewood, as anyone who drove by could tell by the long stacks lined up along the garden fence. Otto was a long-time member of the New Home Church of Christ. He was an elder and speaker there for many years, often quoting Bible passages during his sermons. Over the span of decades, he spoke at numerous funerals in the area.
