Barbara Jean McAdams, 77 of Homosassa, FL passed away Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. She was born August 4, 1938 to Marion and Frank Albertson in Brooklyn, NY and came here 26 years ago from there. She was a retired administrator with Morgan Guaranty Company. She enjoyed art and was an award winning painter. She was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph McAdams in 2013. She is survived by her daughters Debra Rubinich and husband John of Charlotte, NC, Karen Lystad and husband Kenneth of Clearwater, FL and Barbara Murphy-Neveu and husband Paul of Citrus Springs, FL, her brother Richard Albertson and wife Rose of Selden, NY, her grandchildren; Jennifer sarlo, Brianna Rubinich, Kaitlyn Lystad, Connor Lystad, Daniella Rubinich, Briann Neveu, Kari Lystad-Wood and Paul Neveu, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday June 4th at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Crystal River. Inurnment will be at 10 AM Monday June 6th in the Florida National cemetery, Bushnell. For those who wish memorial contributions are requested to the Alzheimer's Association , 14010 Roosevelt Blvd., Suite 709 Clearwater, FL 33762-3820. Strickland Funeral Home with Crematory of Crystal River is assisting the family with arrangements.
