The Rev. L.A. Alkire, aged 52 years, died at his home near Salem, Monday morning, April 13. He is survived by his wife and four children, Louis and Frances at home, Carl of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Austin of CCC Camp of Hamburg, Arkansas.

Funeral was held Tuesday morning at the home in charge of Rev. Gilbert, Nazerine minister of Amity and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery with Westbrook Funeral Home in charge. Rev. Mr. Alkire was a good man and loved by all who knew him. He spent a great part of his life in the ministry and was active up until about six or eight weeks before his death.
