Anastasia Cody, b. Abt. 1770 in Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary, Ireland, and died Bet. Apr 1840–Nov 1855. It is said Richard went to Newfoundland to "get" Anastasia, and also that she had red hair. His will made the provision for her well-being as long as she lived. She was to remain in their house the duration of her life.
The homestead, pictured here, was built by their son George about 1825-26 on Lot 26 on the waterside farm (from where the family had moved from Lot 25 in the early 1800's) in Bedeque and the home was called "Beech Worth" on an 1863 map. It was still standing in 1990s and owned by Mr. Affleck. (Several early Price houses appear as landmarks in an 1841 Royal Navy chart of Bedeque Harbor.)

-- George Nicholas Price, b. December 25, 1792, Lower Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. March 12, 1875, Somonauk Township, Illinois. He married Rebecca Mabey (b. Abt. 1800-07 Jan 1826 likely at Middle Newcastle, New Brunswick, Canada) who was the dau. of George Mabey and Mary Hamilton. George and Rebecca had three children: Mary Elizabeth who married William Gould, George Mabey who married Mary Cairns, and Richard who married Catherine Treen Cole.

-- Catherine Price, b. 1794, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. August 18, 1859, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. She married James Walsh November 27, 1817 in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. He was born Abt. 1796 in County Wexford, Ireland, and died 1861.

-- William Redmond Price, b. 1796, Bedeque, Prince, Prince Edward Island; d. 1862, Price Settlement, New Brunswick, Canada. He married Phebe Strang August 03, 1820 in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. She was the daughter of Jesse Strang and Sarah Wright. She was born Abt. 1801 in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island, and died 1881 in Price Settlement, New Brunswick, Canada.
His father-in-law, Jesse Strang, a Loyalist from New York, later donated land for the first Presbyterian Meeting House built in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island in about 1800. It was located on the site of the present North Bedeque Cemetery.
Partner with his older brother George with a 64th share each in a vessel called the "Nelson" built in Bedeque in 1817. It was 34 feet long, 10 feet wide with two masts and had a gross weight of 15 tons. It was used for carrying surplus farm products and some passengers to Newcastle on the Mirimachi River, the great business and shipping center of the northeast coast of New Brunswick.
On or about 1831 he was renting farm land on Lot 27 from Horatio Mann, east of Lot 26 where he had grown up. Later he escaped political turmoil having to do with agriculture and moved to New Brunswick, following George and Mathias.

May 24, 1798, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; By 1832 was living on a lot on the south side of the Tabusintac River, which became known as the Price Settlement, New Brunswick, Canada. d. September 15, 1878, Clyde, Wisconsin. He married Mary Watkins May 13, 1844 in Prince Edward Island. She was born 1814, and died 1854.

-- Joanna Price, b. June 22, 1800, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. April 06, 1888, Illinois. She raised the children of her brother George Nicholas Price and his wife Rebecca Mabey after the death of Rebecca. Lived at time of death with nephew Richard in Illinois. Never married.

-- Michael Price, b. 1802, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. September 26, 1871, Lower Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. He married Anna Maria Wood December 15, 1829 in Prince Edward Island, daughter of James Wood and Elizabeth Mabey. She died 1875.

-- Ann Price, b. 1804, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. Douglastown(?), New Brunswick, Canada or Rhode Island. She married Michael Walsh January 05, 1825 in Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. He was born Abt. 1803.

-- Richard Price, b. September 11, 1806, Lower Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. April 28, 1867, Lower Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. He married Lucinda Urquhart August 02, 1838 in Lower Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. She was born November 20, 1820, and died 1895.

d Taopi, Minnesota. She married James Day from England, two children George and May.

-- James Price, b. September 12, 1810, Lower Bedeque, Prince Edward Island; d. 2 October 1872, Shabbona, Illinois, as reported in DeKalb County Records that ...
" James was a farmer, blacksmith and Methodist preacher. He was one of the four constables appointed for Bedeque in 1833. In Illinois, to which he emigrated in 1844, a history of DeKalb County records that he "put forth earnest and effective effort toward the moral development of the communities in which he lived." He also shoed the ponies of the local Indian chief in Shabonna, Illinois."
He married 1stly: Margaret Hierlihy who also died in Illinois. They had 4 children.
He married 2ndly: Sinah Dart October 12, 1848 in Illinois who was from Indiana and who died in Indiana in 1911. They had 7 children.

-- Mary Price, b. 1812, Bedeque, Prince Edward Island. Mary d. Aft. 1876 in Taopi, Minnesota and she had married William Campbell who was from Phoenix, Arizona. They had at least 10 children, and one was named George Campbell who died in Taopi, MN in 1902 (Geo was the postmaster there.)
