Donald G. Gehret, 82, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away June 4, 2016, in Manor Care, Spring Township.
He was the husband of Nancy E. (Kraatz) Gehret; together they celebrated 54 years
of marriage. Born in Bern Township, he was the son of the late George Gehret Jr., step-mother, Lillian Gehret, and his mother, Mabel (Long) Gehret.
Mr. Gehret was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church and Glenside Hunting Camp in Centre County.
He was employed at Berkshire Greens, Inc., as a cement finisher for 47 years.
Donald was an avid golfer, hunter and enjoyed watching stock car racing.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Nancy, are his sons, Gregg D. Gehret, husband of Karen, Reading; Scott A. Gehret, husband of Ashleigh, Leesport; and five grandchildren: Erin, Aiden, Noah, Alexander and Adysson.
Services will be held in Bean Funeral Homes, North 16th & Rockland Sts,, Hampden Heights, Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Alsace Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday
6:00-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00-11:00 a.m.
