Obituary. Logan Pioneer Butcher's Rites Slated. Logan. Funeral services for Joseph E. Davidson, 83, pioneer Logan, butcher and businessman who died Tuesday morning in the family home, 71 N. 4th West of a heart attack, will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Logan Second LDS ward chapel by Lynn Thomson, bishop.
Mr. Davidson was born Dec. 29, 1861 in Logan, a son of Thomas and Anna Davidson. He was one of Logan's first retail butchers and engaged in the re tail meat business until retiring a few years ago. He also owned considerable business property in the city.
He married Emma B. Pond, Oct. 8, 1902, in Greenview, Id. She died in January, 1932.
Survivors include one son, Don Davidson, Logan, two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Idabel [Isabelle] McCallister, Providence, and a brother, James Davidson, Pocatello, Ida.
Friends may call at the family home Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial in Logan cemetery, will be under direction of the W. Loyal Hall mortuary.
