Mr. T. Grady Alday, Sr., 86, of Meigs died April 26 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home.

Mr. Alday, born January 25, 1902, was a member of Springhill Christian Church. He was a retired salesman.

Services were held April 28 at 11 a.m. in Braswell Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Springhill Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Neely and Dr. Raymond Guterman officiated.

Active pallbearers were Carroll Cone, Bruce Turner, Christ Cooper, Kelso Cooper, Ronald Seigler, and Preston McMillon. Honorary pallbearers were Ryan Parker, Jake Griffin, Earl Dollar, Charles Pilcher, Albert Chancey, Robert Cone, Harlon Smith, Willis Allen, Cype Bulloch, H. L. Chaney and Alvin Mitchell.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alva Culpepper Alday of Meigs; on son, Grady Alday, Jr. of Dayton Beach Shores, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Anders and Mrs. Kate Ealey of Iron City; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Eileen Bailey of Thomasville and Mrs. Edna Culpepper of Ochlocknee; five grandchildren and eight grandchildren.

Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham had charge of arrangements.
