Anna L. Carmody, age 86, died peacefully at CLC Woodridge Nursing Home in Grapevine, Texas Saturday October 28, 2006.

A funeral mass is scheduled to take place at St. Josephs Catholic Church Friday, November 3rd with burial at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery. Services are under Primrose Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carmody was born August 23, 1920, in Jerseyville, Illinois to Charles and Mary Hanes. She lived in Norman since 1970. She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic church and St. Monica's Guild. Larry, her late husband, was one of twelve children and was employed at Westinghouse for over 30 years. She was a wonderful Christian and gift of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Larry Carmody of Norman and their daughter Kathleen Stroebe of San Rafael, Ca., three brothers, Charles, Albert and Robert Hanes and two sisters, Mary Ward and Kathleen Holmes.

Survivors include two sons, James Carmody and his wife Helen of Houston, Texas and Jerry Carmody and his wife Dian of Trophy Club, Texas. Six grandchildren, Paul Carmody of Austin, Texas and Leigh Carmody of Nashville, Tennessee of Jim and Helen, Suzanne and Michelle Stroebe of Kathleen, San Francisco, Ca., and Zephan and Jarrod (twin boys) of Jerry and Dian. Two Great Grandchildren, Zoe and Emma of Paul and Teresa. Two sisters Helen Tlapek of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Mrs. Margaret Mc Kinnon of Sarasota, Florida are still living.
