Sarah A. Stewart was born Jan. 23, 1833, Guernsey county, Ohio. She was married to Henry C. Allen at Summerfield, Ohio, July 4th, 1857. Died July 29, 1912 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Blinn, New Albany, Kansas. She had been a faithful Christian, a member of the M.E. church for sixty-seven years, was a loving mother and loyal friend. Four children mourn her loss. Mrs. M.E. McCray, Mrs. Samuel Blinn and John Allen of New Albany and Miss Grace Allen of Raton, New Mexico, and 4 grandchildren, Bert McCray of Neodesha, Edith, Gladys and Barbara McCray of New Albany. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Blinn Tuesday morning at ten o'clock, conducted by Rev. MacLean of Fredonia.
