Thomas William Evans father is James Harvey Evans, a music teacher(civil War Ohio)
Thomas William Evans mother is Mary Jane Cook, born PA. dau of John Cook.
Thomas was a farmer and lived on Indian tract in Reynolds County, MO. He was getting older and was not looking very well that day. He had some hogs that needed to be put up for the evening and he was on his favorite horse, named Daisy and it was time he rounded them up for the evening. Carl Cozine {married to my uncle Elza "jig" Thurman's daughter) came by and offered to get the hogs for Tom realizing, Tom needed the help, however Tom decided to do it himself. Carl left and when Tom was found sitting against the barn the next day with a heart attack, his sister Netta Thurman took him to her home and nursed him until he passed three days later. He passed at his sister's home in Piedmont,Mo.

Thomas and Effie had five children I remember the name of one if his girl's, nickname was
peaches and I as told by my aunt that I looked like Peaches. It makes sense to me knowing that my father looked like her father, Thomas. Uncle and nephew, Edwin B. Thurman looked alike~.

James Harvey Evans who is a son of Philip H. Evans(was the second son of David Evans and Virginia Blizzard Smith) David was the son of Capt Elijah Evans of Shenandoah Co. VA and in Rev War from Maryland)

James H. Evans, mother was Mary Jane Davis,
born Ky .(dau of Zacheriah Davis and Mary Burgess -VA.
