William E. Kerr, 38, of 3226 Farragut Ave., died Friday night at his home after a long illness. A native of Delair, Mr. Kerr resided in Camden for 25 years. He was a carpenter at RTC Shipyard and was a member of the Liberty Yearly Beneficial Association and Radiant Star Lodge No. 73, Shepherds of Bethlehem. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Elmer and John Kerry; two step sons, Joseph S. Scharr, at home, and Edward Scharr, serving with the Army in Korea; two daughters, the Misses Margaret and Helen Kerr, at home; three step daughters, Mrs. Eleanore Davis, of Bellmawr, and Misses Florence and Shirley Scharr, at home; his mother Mrs. Pearl Kerr, of Camden; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Keller, of Camden, and two brothers, John and Paul, of Camden.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. In the Gustav Roedel and Son Funeral Home, 804 N. 27th St., where friends may call Monday night. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
