Lorena married 23 August 1917 to Wayne A. Coxon 1894-1921. A WWI veteran, he was wounded in France and died of effects of his wounds nearly four years later on 16 June 1921. 3 children:

Wayne A. Coxon, born posthumously 16 July 1921, one month after his father died. On 23 December 1940, young Wayne enlisted in the National Guard. He was killed in action 15 July 1944 at St. Lo, France during WWII, and was buried in a military cemetery in France.
S/Sgt. Wayne A. Coxon was later re-interred at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Nebraska, on 18 May 1948, nearly four years after his death in France. There is also a memorial marker for him in the Mason City, Nebraska cemetery where other family members rest.
