Dolores Lewandowski(Nee Bingenheimer) Passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the wonderful age of 96 yrs.
Born in Milwaukee on May 7, 1917 to Nicholas Bingenheimer and Martha Cyra.
Preceded in death by her beloved husband Edmund D., her sisters Ruth Jedrzejewski and Phyllis Mazalewski and her brother John Bingenheimer.

She attended and graduated from St. John Cathedral High School on a full four-year scholarship. Dolores worked at the Falk Corporation after World War II and was a member of Gimbels Department Stores Fashion Forum. In 1939, she married precisionist artist Edmund D. Lewandowski and together they supported the Fine Arts in his various roles as Art teacher at Florida State University in Tallahassee; President of Layton School of Art in Milwaukee; and Art Chairman of Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC until his death in 1998.

In Rock Hill, Dolores was a member of the Politeia Club, Newcomers Club, and many bridge clubs; received the Winthrop University Medal of Honor in the Arts; and originated a gourmet group that meets to this day.
