Services for Terry Glenn "Goober" Abernathy, 36, of Hughes Springs were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home . Burial followed at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. Mr. Abernathy died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1970, in Lone Star. A service station attendant for many years, he had worked for Texas and Northern Warehouse, and was a Baptist. Mr. Abernathy is survived by his mother, Carolyn Abernathy of Hughes Springs; one brother, J.P. Abernathy of Jefferson; two sisters, Debbie Abernathy and Penny Kaye Abernathy, both of Marshall; other relatives and friends.
