Arthur Fisher, a life-long resident of
this vicinity, died Aug. 4, 1952 in the
Hayfield Nursing home in Garrison, where
he had been a patient for the past five
months. His age was 68. He was a son of
Joseph and Mary Head Fisher and was born
in Carmel on Nov. 11, 1883. He attended
the public school here and at an early
age went to work as a farmhand. He was
employed for several years by Edwin
Wixom near Ludingtonville and later by
Hamilton F. Townsend for many years.
Since the death of Mr. Townsend, he had
made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert
Odell at Farmers Mills.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. David Hyatt
of Tilly Foster and several nieces and
nephews. Interment was made in the family
plot in the Raymond Hill cemetery.
