DIED IN OKLAHOMA

Mrs. Mary Abbott, Daughter
of H. M. Vancil of Quincy,
Summoned Monday.


Mrs. Mary Abbott died in her home in Oklahoma Monday night. The cause of death was dropsy. She was born in Liberty, Ill., and was 38 years old. She was married to Will Abbott in St. Louis, about 15 years ago.

Mrs. Abbott leaves, besides her husband, her father, H. M. Vancil and wife of Quincy, and the following brothers: Charles Vancil of Pulaski, Ill.; Alvin Vancil of LaGrange, Mo.; Emmett Vancil of Palmyra, Mo.; Bert Vancil of Quincy; John Vancil of Canada; and Henry Vancil of Oklahoma.

The remains will probably be brought to Quincy tomorrow, for burial.

Little Late Locals.

The body of Mrs. William Abbott, who died in McCurtain, Okla., arrived in Quincy Wednesday evening, accompanied by the husband.

The funeral was held this afternoon at 2:30 from the Wiskirchen chapel, the Rev. W. O. Shank, pastor of the Central Baptist church, officiating.

The pallbearers were four brothers of the deceased, Charles, Alvin, Emmett and Burt Vancil. Burial was at Greenmount cemetery.

Three of the brothers are residents of nearby towns, Charles being a resident of Augusta, Emmett of Palmyra, and Alva of La Grange.
