Dan O. Hall, 88, of Wildwood, Georgia, died at his residence Saturday morning June 11, 2016.

Mr. Hall was born and raised in Rising Fawn, GA, and attended Rising Fawn Elementary School and then to Berry School, where he graduated. He enlisted in the Navy into the US Navy Seabees. He was a veteran of WWII, serving during 1944 until 1950. Mr. Hall served as the sole commissioner of Dade County, Georgia, for 16 years. He was president of the Dade County Lions Club, The J.C.'s, Past Post Commander of the American Legion Post 106, Member of the Trenton Masonic Lodge #179 A&FM., and also a member of the Alhambra Shrine Temple. Mr. Hall owned and operated the Rising Fawn Water System and formed the Dade County Water Authority, Dade County Industrial Park, built Burkhalter Gap Road, and formed the first Dade County Ambulance Service and Primary Health Care Center.

Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lora Hale Hall.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, in the chapel with Rev. John Smith and Rev. Mickey Schrimshire officiating. Mr. Hall will be laid to rest in Trenton Baptist Cemetery with Military Honors.

Family will receive friends from 12-8 p.m. on Monday and 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
