Elmer Augusta Bennett, 77, Fairfield R1, died Saturday evening at 9:20 at his home after a long illness.
Mr. Bennett was a son of the late john McCurdy and Jemima Hull Bennett and was formerly employed by the State Highway department.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Bessie Lightner Bennett, three children, John, Mrs. Theodore Izer and Mrs. Marie Weikert, all of Fairfield R1; two sisters, Mrs. Harvey Strausbaugh and Mrs. Nora Sell, both of Fairfield R1. There are eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of St. John's Reformed church of Fairfield.
Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Allison funeral home in Fairfield with his pastor, the Rev. Thomas Burns, and the Rev. John H Ehrhart, Lewisburg, Pa., a former pastor, officiating. Interment in the Fairfield Union Cemetery.
