Dora Belle Jones Keene was the daughter of Mahala Jane Jones & James Riley Jones. She and her fraternal brother were born May 26, 1878.
Dora married Edmond B. Keene on April 4, 1900 & raised six children: Frances, Eldon, Margaret, J.R., Woodrow & Edmond Keene, Jr.

Mrs. Edmond Burnham Keene, 81, died at her home at 8:30 o'clock last night after an illness of three months.
Mrs. Keene, the former Miss Dora Belle Jones, was born near Dripping Springs church on May 26, 1878 to J.R. and Mahalia Barnes Jones. She spent her lifetime in Boone County and was a member of the Dripping Springs Christian Church since early girlhood.
She was married to Edmond Burnham Keene on April 4, 1900 and he preceded her in death December 30, 1945.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Cecil Acton, Route 4, and Mrs. Louie Nienaber 504 Lyons Street; four sons, Eldon Keene, Route 6; James R Keene, 914 Clayton; Woodrow W. Keene, Denver, Colorado; and Edward B. Keene, jr., Route 6; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Parker's Chapel at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with Rev. C. E. Lemmon officiating. Burial will be in Dripping Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Beaven, Carson Anthony, Loren Sapp, William I. Danner, Francis Hickam and Ralph Ballenger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leon Ferguson, Ross Southard, T.J. Holloway and A.G. Pierce.
The body will be at Parker's chapel until time for burial.
