Darline was married to Don Acord in 1943 in Chicago. She was employed by Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph for many years.
Survivors include: daughter, Donna Henning; grandchildren, Blake and Michele Henning, Kelly and Steve Behlen, Troy and Cari Henning, and Chad Henning; great- grandchildren, Sara (fiance Eddy) and Jessica Henning, Brittney and Josh Sladky, Hailey, Megan and Josh Behlen, Kaylie and Seth Brethouwer, and Justin (fiance Nicole) Henning; great-great-grandchildren, Elijah and Gage Sladky, Easton and Addilyn Brethouwer; sister-in-law, Carol Wendelin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by: husband, Don; son-in-law, Jerry Henning; sisters, Gladys Schlichtemeier and Marfay Clark; brothers, Roland Wendelin and Darald Wendelin.
Services on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Crete. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Park.
