Glenn Edward Yuska was born on December 13, 1933, on the family farm near Traer, the son of Edward and Mayme (Holubar) Yuska. He attended Buckingham School until the 8th grade. He then began farming with his dad. On June 4, 1956, Glenn was united in marriage to Dorothy Kubalek at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church near Clutier. Glenn farmed, worked at the Reinbeck Canning Factory, and retired from John Deere after 30 years of service. He enjoyed farming, playing the lottery, going to the casino, raising goats, watching TV, especially wrestling and boxing, and his puppies. Glenn died at the age of 85 on October 6, 2019, at Unity Point Allen Hospital in Waterloo. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elsie Chizek, Vivian Kvidera, and Betty Jane Paustian; and a son in law, Larry Dvorak. Glenn is survived by his wife; four daughters, Nancy Dvorak of Chelsea, Deb (Gerald) Schlichting of Traer, Penny (Earl) Peterson of Heiskell, TN, and Jean (Dennis) Wilson of Traer; a son, Dan Yuska of Traer; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren with one on the way.
The burial will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery near Clutier.
