I BELIEVE ISIS IS THE WIFE OF N.A. AND THE MOTHER OF F.M.,A.R.,& A.C. BECAUSE OF THE LOCATIONS AND THE DATES ON THE MARKERS.AND SHE HAS MOTHER ENGRAVED ON HER STONE

Lake Como - Mrs. Nathan A. (Isis Manchester) Vurgason, one of the old settlers, passed away on Wednesday of last week, at 3 p.m., and was buried on Thursday. About six years ago Mrs. Vurgason had a stroke of paralysis, and since that time was confined to her room, much of the time to her bed. On the Friday preceding her death another stroke brought on unconsciousness, from which she never rallied. Mrs. Vurgason came to Como, with her two daughters, in 1883, Mr. Vurgason and the four boys having come about a year before, and has lived here ever since. Of a cheerful, amiable disposition, eminently devoted to her home and family, Mrs. Vurgason has been universally regarded as a model wife and mother, and the family commands the sincere sympathy of the community with no exception. Of the family who are left to mourn their loss, the husband, Miss Ella and Albert devoted themselves to the wife and mother untiringly during the year of her prostration. Two sons, currently live in Brooklyn, N.Y., two, married, are in business in Memphis, Tenn., and one son, Frederic, who was home on a visit, is resident of Memphis. Mrs. W. E. Palmer, of Como, is the eldest daughter and Miss Ella, the youngest daughter, remained at home, devoting her life and strength to her mother. (Palatka News Obituary dtd Friday, 26 Jun 1902.)
