A message was received yesterday by Mr. and Mrs. Lee Walker, who live a few miles south of Ladonia, stating that their son, James Powell Walker, had been killed in action in France. The dead man was twenty-five years of age. He left Bonham with the first eighteen men who went from here to Camp Travis some months ago. Like other boys who have gone from here and have fought in France, he did his duty as faithful men do, and gave his life that others may have freedom and peace in the years to come.
