Colton Lee James Abbott,23, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was a resident of Morgantown.

He was a 2011 graduate of Indian Creek High School in Trafalgar. Colton worked as a laborer for Michaels Corp. in Greenfield for the past year. Prior to that, he held the position of foreman for Sub Surface of Indiana in Morgantown for 4 years. Colton also worked as a Coneman at the Paragon Speedway during racing for 13 years. he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, Local 1393 in Indianapolis.

He enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing and riding dirt bikes. Colton also enjoyed competing in demolition derby's and super cross events. he loved his family and spending time with his girlfriend, Zoey Gatton. He was her biggest fan and critic while watching her play softball.

He is survived by his mother, Christina Wiley (Steve) of Old Hickory, Tennessee; siblings, David Abbott of Franklin, Ethan abbott and Leanne Rossell both of Morgantown and Anna Abbott of Franklin, Ethan Abbott and Leanne Rossell both of Morgantown and Anna Abbott of Morgantown; girlfriend, Zoey Fatton of Morgantown; and stepmother, Melonie Abbott of Morgantown.

Colton was preceded in death by his father, James D. "Jim" Abbott on September 21, 2009.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St., Morgantown. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
