John L. Child married Eliza Jane Curtis in 1850 and had Sara Ann, next John C. Child and the rest of the children except two. Mary Malinda Curtis was the 2nd wife of John L. Child b. in 1839 age 12 in 1851, living in Pigeon Creek, Kanesville, Iowa with Uriah Curtis. She went with Uriah Curtis to Parowan area and lived there until 1855/6 when the Ogden settlers were allowed to move out of the forts (Mound Fort). In 1856, she came and lived with John L. and was married to him in the Endownment House. Both wives were endowed and sealed to John L. in April of 1857. Mary Malinda only had two children: Emma Caroline Child
> b. 22 Sep, 1861 and Pheobe Pauline Child b. April 1863. All the other children are Eliza Jane's children.
