She was the daughter of Leslie Arthur and Florence A. (Newell) Gilman.
She graduated from Randolph High School in 1942. She was employed as a telephone operator in Chicago during World War II and was working on the switchboard the day that President Franklin D. Roosevelt died in 1945.
She married Elton H. Davis in Randolph in 1946. They were later divorced. She married Eugene G. Adams in 1978.
Alice served as the office treasurer for the Windsor County Farm Bureau and was involved with the Windsor County Farm Bureau Field Day held in Springfield. She was a Vermont farm girl at heart and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and Bingo. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Marjorie Wilk and Evelyn Dimick, and by one brother, Arthur “Gil” Gilman. Survivors include her husband of thirty eight years, Eugene Adams of Perkinsville, three daughters, Barbara Slaton and her husband, Robert of Springfield, VT, Beverly Lauren and her husband, Charlie of Chester, VT and Bette Matulonis and her husband, Jeff of Springfield, VT, two stepchildren, Richard Adams of Weathersfield, VT and Josephine Streeter-Fletcher of Springfield, VT, one sister, Helen Moore of Springfield, VT, four grandchildren, Tammy Millard of Perkinsville, Jeremy Lauren of Penacook, NH, Jessica Maher of Charlestown, MA and Jacob Matulonis of Springfield, VT, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Committal services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Mountain View Cemetery in Braintree, VT.
