Sweetwater - Nolan Wayne Absher, 82, died Friday at a local hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Neal Shepherd officiating and James Shuler assisting. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.
Mr. Absher was born in Wastella. He owned and operated the Absher Gulf Service Station until his retirement in 1977 and was a member of Lamar Street Baptist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Absher of Sweetwater; three daughters, Pam Ruffin and Patricia Werning, both of Sweetwater, and Beth Corbett of The Woodlands; a sister, Jane Young of Dallas; two brothers, Vincent Absher of Odessa and John H. Absher, Jr. of Dallas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
