CURTIS R. BURNETT

Curtis R. Barnett, 83, of Sweetwater died Monday, Sept. 13, 2004, in the Hendrick Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with Larry Fluitt officiating.

Services will be under the direction of Cate-Spencer and Trent Funeral Home of Sweetwater.

He was born on Nov. 16, 1920. He married Dorothy Busby on Nov. 17, 1940. He was a member of Lamar Street Church of Christ. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad and Gillette Trucking for many years before retiring. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Barnett of Sweetwater; two daughters, Sheila Burnett and husband, Dale, of Sweetwater, and DeLane Morgan and husband, Robert, of Roby; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Blundell of Granbury and Bettie Waggoner of California, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, A.J. and Lena Rose Rutherford Barnett.
