SWEETWATER - Modenia Ware, 92, of Arlington died Sunday at an Arlington hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Highland Heights United Methodist Church with the Revs. Sue Rowlett and Carl Thorell officiating. Burial will be in Slaters Chapel Cemetery in Nolan, directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ware was born in Nolan and graduated from Sweetwater High School and McMurry College. She taught school for more than 35 years, including at Divide and Sylvester. She was a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church. She lived in Sweetwater for 40 years and in Arlington for the past eight years. She married Charlie Ware in 1933 in Hobbs, Tex.; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Dana Mitchell of Arlington; one sister, Novice Whiteaker of Abilene; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
