ALETHEA, (LEE) HELEN ARBEAU - After a long struggle to find the peace she sought, Lee Arbeau (nee Mitchell), left this world for a better one on October 17, 2014, her 90th birthday. Lee is celebrating her birthday in a far grander way, than we could have here. Her death occurred at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Doaktown, NB, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Etta (MacDonald) Mitchell. She served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in World War II and was always proud of her standing as a veteran. She was a long standing member and past Noble Grand of Pearl Rebekah Lodge #9 and a member of Lower Coverdale Baptist Church, Lower Coverdale, NB. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, a good friend to many and a faithful Christian. Lee will be greatly missed by her children; Shirley, Moncton , Dianne McFadden (Don), Riverview, Donnie, Moncton, Linda Goodwin (Dana Carson), Havelock, and Brenda Fahey (Anthony), Harcourt, grandchildren Amanda, Angela, Nick, Krissy, Tony, Laura, and Mary, great grandchildren; Morgan, Will, Abby, Eli, Luke, Lilly, Molly and Ian; sister Jenny Mehan of Penticton, BC, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by Hanford, her husband of 53 years; brothers George, Blair, Ralph, and Ken; and sisters Veta, Laura, Francis, and Daisy.
