Heddy, Wilbur Earl Age 92, of Davison, formerly of Flint, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Mr. Heddy was born January 18, 1924 in Sumner, Illinois, to Raymon and Minnie (May) Heddy. Wilbur graduated from Flint Central High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He married Jennie Mae Baxter on October 30, 1965 in Flint. Mr. Heddy served as business representative, financial secretary and journeyman trainer for the International Union of Painters & Allied Trades of Flint. He dedicated his life to his painting career and took great pride in his work, teaching many others the art of his trade. Wilbur was past-president of the Lion's Club of Downtown Flint. For many years he attended the Court Street Methodist Church in Flint, he than attended the Otisville Assembly of God (now known as Vision Pointe Assembly of God). Mr. Heddy is survived by his children: Bill (Midge) Heddy of Davison, Ray (Yvonne) Heddy of Davison, Ann (Augie) Meerschaert of Lapeer, Gary Heddy of Davison, Kathy (Mike) Kennedy of Davison, Bill (Pam) Gales of Memphis, Tennessee and Trish Gales of Davison; 23 Grandchildren; 9.5 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister: June Baxter of Burton; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jennie Heddy; grandchildren: Marty and Maryjane; siblings: Mildred, Mabel, Marie, Carol, Walt, Warren and Paul. Visitation for Wilbur will be 4-8 PM Friday, June 17, 2016 at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. The funeral service will 10:00AM Saturday, June 18, 2016, Vision Pointe Assembly of God Church (formerly Otisville Assembly of God), 9444 Dodge Rd., Otisville, MI 48463. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.
