Obituary: Asa "Ace" Claude Adams, 95, of Kunst Dr., Weston, passed away at 6:29 pm on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in the Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Jane Lew. He lived a long, productive life built on a strong foundation of faith, love, and family. He blessed this earth and the lives of his parents when he was born in Gilmer County on February 17, 1921, a son of the late Ezra Charles Adams and Lessie Lee Keister Adams. Ace first married Jessie Alice Goff who passed away in 1968. He then married Wanda Simmons . On May 5, 1990 he married Wanda Louise Heckert Gould and they celebrated 23 years of marriage before her passing on September 7, 2014. His ease of conversation and witty storytelling will be carried on by his six children: Jack Adams and wife, Laurie, of York, SC, Jim Adams and wife, Kim of Ritchie County, Joe Adams and wife, Lucinda, of Bunker Hill, Terry Adams and wife, Sue, Tim Adams and wife, Marge, and Ezraetta Sue Miller and husband, Kurt, all of Massillon, OH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three step children: Roger Gould and wife, Janet, of Weston, Stephen Montgomery and wife, Judy, of Morgantown, Leann Gould Kerns and husband, Tim, of Jane Lew; six step grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; two brothers: Wade Adams of Harrisville, and Adrian Adams of Parkersburg; two sisters: Maxine Elder and Geraldine Hatfield, both of Parkersburg; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he will be reunited in Heaven with six brothers: Glennard, Scott, Gerald, Glendal "Port", Kenneth, and Eugene Adams; and three sisters: Glenna Warner, Mary Radabaugh, and Margaret Patton. Ace worked as a truck driver for Dowell for 17 years then retired from the WV Dept. of Highways with several years of service. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed basketball, baseball (Atlanta Braves), and football (Let's Go Mountaineers). He enjoyed farming, gardening, spending time with his family, and sharing his faith to support, inspire, and encourage everyone around him. Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 5-8 pm on Friday, June 17, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
