Wade Thomas Stowe, 97, of Dry Fork, passed away on June 16, 2016, at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation Center. Wade was born June 13, 1919, in Pittsylvania County, to Hattie Powell Stowe and John Stowe. He married Virginia Lou Elliott Stowe, whom predeceased him on May 30, 2012. Wade served in WWII in the U. S. Army. Wade was a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sherry Lynn Stowe and Patricia Wade Gooch; a son, Donnie Stowe (Deborah); brother, Delton Stowe; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Wade was also predeceased by a sister, Bernice Allen; five brothers, Earl, Shirley, Johnny, Clyde, and Julian Stowe.
Burial will be in the Stowe Family Cemetery, Dry Fork.
