Edward B. Pleasant, age 70, of Marysville, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. A longtime educator, coach and civic servant, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Susan L. Anderson Pleasant; his daughter, Emily (Casey) Sattler of Marysville; two granddaughters, Julia and Lauren; two sisters-in-law, Patty Pleasant and Ellen (Larry) Cox; a brother-in-law, Eddie Anderson; an aunt, Edna Pleasant of Kenton; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Underwood Funeral Home where masonic memorial services will be held at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Marysville First United Methodist Church. Rev. Aaron Brown will officiate and burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Union County Shrine Club.
