Rutherfordton, June 3 — Robert Fanning Eaves, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Eaves, of this city, was married today to Miss Marjorie Fisk, of Washington, D. C. The wedding came as a surprise to the many friends of both parties. Both the bride and groom are from two of the Old North State’s most prominent families.

Services for Robert F. Eaves, Sr., 73, of 5003 Linda Drive, Tucker, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of A. S. Turner and Sons. Interment Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
The friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Eaves, Sr., Dr. and Mrs. Robert F. Eaves, Jr., Tucker; Mr. and Mrs. Claude M. Hipps, Jacksonville, Fla.; Dr. and Mrs. Rupert S. Eaves, Rutherfordton, N. C.; Mr. and Mrs. John Walden, Charlotte, N. C.; and six grandchildren are invited to attend the services.
Mr. Eaves retired from the tariff division of Southeastern Passenger Assn. He was born in Rutherfordton, N. C., and was a veteran of World War I.
