Mr. Kugler began his working career at Landis Tool Company where he completed his apprenticeship earning him a journeyman's card. He later was employed at Mack Truck Manufacturing, Hagerstown, MD and Rotorex in Walkersville, MD. He currently and for the past 28 years, was employed for Frick Company, Waynesboro. He was a member of Eagles Club, Inc. and Owls Club, both of Waynesboro.
Mr. Kugler will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather who always enjoyed time spent with family, especially with his granddaughters. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. He also liked NASCAR racing, especially Dale Earnhardt.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kaylin B. Kugler and her significant other, Joe Weyer of Hagerstown and Emily K. Briegel and her husband, Paul of New Castle, DE; two granddaughters, Brynn Weyer and Lily Briegel; two brothers, David Kugler and his wife, Ginger and Jack Kugler, both of Waynesboro; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Donna Fortney of Waynesboro; step-brothers and step-sisters in Martinsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 South Broad Street, Waynesboro with Pastor Bill Shank officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday evening, in the funeral home.
