He was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed church at Jefferson. He had farmed for many years near Jefferson and moved to this city following his retirement.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Laura Cline Long, and a sister, Mrs. Lily F. Culler, Jefferson.
