Dr. Ball, who was 74, came here in 1952 to enter private practice in radiology and to head the radiology department at Oak Ridge Hospital. He retired in 1974.
He and his wife, Grace B. Ball, by whom he is survived, lived at 112 Orchard Circle.
Dr. Ball has been active in civic affairs as well, helping to organize and serving as president of the Oak Ridge Cemetery Association, which developed Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
