Cecil Lewis Moon was born Oct 5, 1924, in Rome, Ga. He passed away on Sept 3, 2013. He has gone to be with his wife, Ora; daughter, Linda; son, Ricky; grandson, Todd; and niece, Sandra Lee; and his three brothers and two sisters. He had been looking forward to meeting them in heaven. He was a founding member of Landmark Baptist Church, retired from Tyler Pipe and served in the Navy. He had many friends and treasured them all.
He is survived by son, Robert Moon and daughter-in-law Sonya Moon; daughter, Shirley Le Grande; grandchildren, Cody Dye, Hunter and Arianna Moon, Britni Moon, Christopher Moon; and great-grandchildren, Myla Moon and Colt Moon. By his side have been nieces and nephews, Cecil Wayne Buttram, Kathy McKnight and Sheila Jane Wilkens.
Funeral services will be at Lloyd James Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Friday Sept. 6, 2013.
