She is survived by her children: Paul Newhouse and Verena Brunner of Ann Arbor, James and Marj Newhouse of Holland, Betty and Lyle Brower of Burnips and Mark and Nancy Newhouse of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Julie Newhouse, Wendi and Reverend Scott Los (Charissa and Tyler Duncanson, James and Leah Los, Tricia Los, Jake Los, Jon Los, Ady Los), Lynette and Bill Bron (Anna, Kerri, Alex), Lisa and Ryan Hassevoort, Jodi and Chris Eckwielen (Matthew, Madison, Owen), Erik and Emily Newhouse, Kyra Newhouse and Josh Newhouse; sister-in-law Betty Newhouse of Zeeland.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Jacob, daughter-in-law Janice Newhouse and a great grandson Timmy Bron.
Lois was a member of Drenthe Christian Reformed Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid, the Hannah Circle and was one of the original Calvinette leaders.
Lois' family would like to thank the staff at Providence Health Care and Rehabilitation and Hospice of Holland for the excellent care given to their mother.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 South State Street, Zeeland. The memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at Drenthe Christian Reformed Church, 6344 Adams Street, Zeeland. Interment will be in East Drenthe Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
