Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Thursday, June 23, 2016, from 9am until funeral services at 10am, conducted by her son-in-law Homer Parish.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Parish and husband Homer Parish of Broken Arrow, OK; her son, Ray Steele and wife Angie Steele of Greeley, CO; sister, Maylene Lofton of Alexandria, LA; brother Bobby D. Travis and wife Mary Travis of Zachary, LA; and grandson Christian Eric Callaway.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Leroy Barksdale; parents Sarah Sullivan Travis and E.W. Travis; and siblings Leroy Travis, James Travis, Noel Travis, and Dorthy Travis.
She was an avid reader who loved romance, westerns, and anything she could get her hands on.
