ALFRED E. BROCKMANN
Alfred E. Brockmann, 84, of Carroll died Monday, July 16, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with Pastor Lawrence W. Sawhill officiating.

He was born Aug. 11, 1888, in Wheatland Township, the son of William F. and Wilhelmina Schultz Brockmann. On June 26, 1912, he married Alvina Schelldorf at Arcadia.

He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and attended Wheatland and Arcadia schools. At the time of his death, Mr. Brockmann was a retired farmer. Previously, he was in the automotive business for 21 years.

Mr. Brockmann is survived by one brother, Arnold Brockmann, Westside; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Bauer, Manning, Mrs. Emil Peters, Arcadia, and Mrs. Amanda Koepke, Arcadia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife and five brothers.

At 1:30 p.m., there will be a prayer for the family in the church basement.
