Helen Anderika, 93, of Duryea, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at Golden Living East Mountain, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Duryea, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Lepa Anderika. She was a graduate of Duryea High School, Class of 1939.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the area garment industry.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pittston, prior to its closing. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea, and the Women's Society. Helen was also a member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, George and Joseph; and sisters, Anna Mazzaccaro and Mary McNulty.

Surviving are her brother, John Anderika, Duryea; and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Rosary Church, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea, with the Rev. Andrew Sinnott officiating.

Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Duryea. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.

Arrangements are by Bernard J. Piontek Funeral Home Inc., 204 Main St., Duryea.
