Born in Indiana, he was the son of Thomas Edward, & Jennie (Hardin) Marsh. Both born in Indiana.
He worked at Bishop furniture.
He married Lula Sams on Dec. 19, 1899 in Edina, Knox County, Missouri.
To them were born:
Lloyd James Marsh, Gladys Marie (Marsh) Stone, John Edward Marsh, Allie Belle (Marsh) Turnipseed, and Leroy Vincent Marsh.
David & Lula's youngest son, Leroy, was lost to them by drowning on July 24, 1931 in Hamilton County, Illinois. He was only 17.
They later adopted another son; George Robert "Bob" Marsh.
